Year 4 Cake Sale

24th February 2017
Cakes for Books

On Friday 24th February, Year Four children held a cake sale to raise money for books.  Josh said "We need more Tom Gates books, as they are very popular and we don't have enough in the library.  So in February, I sent a letter to Mr Grundy asking him if we could hold a cake sale.  He agreed for us to have one near to World Book Day."  Kai added, "Different people sent in cakes and our parents helped us set it up.  Lots of people came last Friday to buy the cakes.  It was fun to do and really worth it."  The cake sale raised £120 and the children were able to spend this money on books from the Book Fair, which means that even more money has been given to the school, providing books for all the year groups.
