Music and Choir Performances
11th July 2017
At The Blake School we understand how important creativity and music are to help our children to develop skills. During Year 4, both classes have been learning the clarinet. On Wednesday 5th July the children gave a wonderful concert to their parents and to the upcoming Year 3 children; they performed a selection of the songs they have sung and the tunes they can play. We would like to thank Mrs Hawker from the Music Service for teaching them this year, and we look forward to the next Year 4 children learning the clarinet from September.
We would like to congratulate all the children who played their instruments and sang in the choir on Tuesday 11th July. They showcased the hard work that they have put in this year and performed really well in our concerts to the school and to their parents. We would like to thank all of our music teachers who come in week by week and to you as parents who support your children to practise and to attend the different concerts. We look forward to hearing about the musical successes from our Year 6 pupils as they progress to Secondary School.
The school choir have had a busy term, singing at the school fête, Newlands Care Home and at the school music concert. They have sung with great enthusiasm and have brought a smile to the faces of many people. They look forward to finishing the term as they sing at a concert next week at Wood Green School for the Senior Citizens. Well done and thank you choir.
