Year 4 Mock Election
9th June 2017
On 9th June Mrs Hayes' class held an election. Each table was given a party named after an animal. The class decided who should be the Ministers for Class, School and Community. The children then worked together to write ideas, manifesto pledges and speeches. After that they held a hustings. They took the polling cards to the Polling Station where their names were ticked off and they were given a voting slip. Each child then went into the polling booth and placed an X in the box for the party they wanted to represent them. They would like to thank their students, Miss Leuzinger and Miss Cooper for a lovely lesson. It was a great way to find out about real elections.
