Ranger Stu's Visit to Year 5

Ranger Stu Visits Year 5:
On Thursday 21st June, we were lucky enough to have a visit from Ranger Stu, who brought in a variety of different animals for us to see, some of which would live in a rainforest environment in the wild.  He told us about which animals live in the different layers of the rainforest (forest floor, understory, canopy and emergent layer) and we got to hold some of them!  Mrs Lynch and Mrs Bullivant were even brave enough to hold Tallulah the tarantula!  We got to meet an owl, a tarantula, an armadillo, a baby skunk, a tortoise and a baby boa constrictor.  It was great fun meeting Ranger Stu and the animals; we learnt lots of interesting facts, for example:  Did you know a giant squid is classed as a mini-beast?
